چکیده
As the demand and construction of cable-stayed bridges have increased, research on safety in event natural disasters such as fires explosions is actively being conducted. If a bridge damaged by an unexpected disaster or accident, it can cause serious traffic congestion huge economic losses. This study evaluates usability cable damage. Additionally, seismic performance impact damage are evaluated numerical analysis. To achieve this goal, modeled using 3D BEAM elements two-node elements. Then, was gradually damaging cable. The deflection, axial force girder, stress changes under far-field ground motion (El-Centro earthquake) were reviewed. A representative dynamic analysis program LS-DYNA utilized for analyses. results show that loss small number cables does not affect bridge. However, if five more continuously lost, earthquake occurs when already excessive deflections girders’ forces problems.

Elastic-plastic Seismic Behavior of Long Span Cable-stayed Bridges
This paper investigates the elastic-plastic seismic behavior of long span cable-stayed steel bridges through the plane finite-element model. Both geometric and material nonlinearities are involved in the analysis. The geometric nonlinearities come from the stay cable sag effect, axial force-bending moment interaction, and large displacements. Material nonlinearity arises when the stiffening ste...
متن کاملImpact of Cross-Tie Properties on the Modal Behavior of Cable Networks on Cable-Stayed Bridges
Dynamic behaviour of cable networks is highly dependent on the installation location, stiffness, and damping of cross-ties. Thus, these are the important design parameters for a cable network. While the effects of the former two on the network response have been investigated to some extent in the past, the impact of cross-tie damping has rarely been addressed. To comprehend our knowledge of mec...

post failure analysis of massive structure infers that soil-structure interaction (ssi) is a crucial phenomena influencing seismic response of massive structures. cable-stayed bridge’s popularity and numbers are increasing now-a-days because of economical longer span & aesthetic good look. the current paper examines the effect of depth of foundation on seismic response of cable-stayed bridg...
متن کاملLong Term Behavior of Cable Stayed
In the design of a structure, one of the most difficult parameter to assess is how the initial condition of a structure will change with time. During its life span, a structure can be subjected to different loads, changes in geometric configuration and even changes in its mechanical properties. Among all factors that can affect the geometrical reconfiguration of a structure (i.e. settlements an...
